A link to a new Intranet web page covering information about Emergencies has been added to the site. It appears in the header next to the Help link as well as on related pages such as the Index and you can see it at this address:  http://pdvnsco.parliament.uk/Intranet/Emergencies.HTM

Here's the text with the relevant links.

Emergencies

General Information
In the event of an emergency affecting the House, please follow any instructions issued over the tannoy system, on annunciators and on the display screens in Central Lobby and elsewhere. If a Police Officer is nearby, you should follow instructions given by them. Further information on a variety of related subjects can also be obtained from the
Serjeant at Arms' Intranet.

Suspect Packages or Vehicles
Suspect packages or vehicles should be reported on x 3333.

Bomb Threats
Details concerning how to proceed if a bomb threat is received can be found on the
Serjeant at Arms' Intranet:

Fire
In the event of a fire, or if fire is suspected, please report the emergency immediately on x 3333.

Bells are not used in the parliamentary estate to warn of fire. Instead a series of taped messages is broadcast throughout the estate. If evacuation is necessary, assemble at the designated muster points. Details of the
Muster Points can be found on the Serjeant at Arms' Intranet and from the reception desks in parliamentary outbuildings. A detailed note on Fire Safety Issues can also be found on the Serjeant at Arms' Intranet.

Medical Emergencies
In the event of a serious accident or injury, contact x 3333 to arrange assessment by a First Aider, and the calling of an ambulance if necessary.
